Most guides on bypassing the Windows 8 login and password skip a new important step. If you are signing in with a Microsoft account then the usual instructions with netplwiz will not completely remove the login screen. This guide has additional steps for those users that are signing into windows with a Microsoft account such as a hotmail.com, outlook.com or live.com email address. This guide should work nicely for Windows 8 tablets with login passwords that you want to bypass so that you don't have to enter a password every time you switch on the Windows tablet.

The Original First Steps

Swipe in from the right side and click on the Search icon and type in netplwiz and press Enter.
Click on the account name that you want to use to sign into windows with and then uncheck the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".
Click OK and then you will have to enter your account password twice.

Additional Steps

Swipe in from the right side of the tablet and click on Settings and then click on Change PC Settings at the bottom of the screen.
On the left side click on Users
Under "Sign-in options" there is a setting for "Require a password after the display is off for". Change the settings to Never require a password

That is it. You may need to restart the computer at this point. Then you should be able to login to Windows 8 automatically without entering a password.
